Reflection on Professional Writing

Looking back at the term as a whole I learned a lot to improve my writing on a professional level. The first assignment that helped pushed my writing was the negative message. I didn't really like or know how to send negative messages, let alone be professional. In the past I would get awkward writing one. After completing the assignment I feel more confident for my next negative email. Another assignment that I am proud of is my negative response email. Like most people I don't like to receive bad news. I now feel a lot better and more confident if or when I will have to respond on either side.
This month has developed many skills I had and skills i didn't know I needed. The most important would be to make a proposal. I didn't know what went into making one. Being able to make a good proposal can help me later when starting my own business and have a new idea for my company I am working for. Knowing what it takes can also help me see a good proposal from a bad one.
Some advice I would give that I have received was to be more convincing and compelling to the reader. Make sure you can grab their attention and keep it for the duration of what ever is in front of them. This has helped me write to be more pleasing and confident in what I give and send to people.
Moving forward into my professional career I will make sure what I send to people is what I intended it to mean and say. Taking all these new found skills to keep my career growing and not being stopped because of communication issues.
